week in Imishli

It seems to me that I write more about my free time and about my weekends on this blog than about my work. Well, to change that a little bit, here some impressions from a "play day" we supported last Thursday in a small village half an hour with the car from Imishli. The village is more in the middle of nowhere than Imishli!

At the Play Day ~150 kids, a few teachers and volunteers from the local NGO Development 2006 participated. We showed games (local and RTP) to the kids and most important played and had fun. The older students played mainly volleyball. In the end of the event, the volunteers played volleyball agains teachers & students of the school. We lost with a big smile. We (RTP team) left after the volleyball game, staff members from development 2006 stayed. Have to found out if they continued playing...

Play ground behind the school (something that schools around Baku and Sumgayit do not have)

Including a pretty good volleyball-net where girls played as well!

Olga, one of the volunteers did a great job. She had for sure as much fun as the kids!!!

I played with the smallest kids, communication with the teacher and volunteer was not easy, however kids had fun and were most of the time playing

Most of the teachers, volunteers and some of the kids...
